Eva's Style of teaching:
Eva teaches both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, in group classes as well as private sessions.
In her classes, Eva's intention is to bring her students' awareness to their breath and from this starting point, develop a deeper awareness of their body, emphasizing the students' direct experience of each moment. It is her belief that through such a focus, the benefits of physical yoga (asanas) can then be taken off the mat and into the world and have a very positive impact on one's life.
Through her knowledge of anatomy and a long standing asana (physical posture) practice, Eva teaches in a way which is safe and gentle, yet challenging and rewarding. Her main focus is for students to leave the class feeling refreshed, energized and with a deeper sense of being at home within themselves - physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually.
Classes consist of asana practice and usually include a short meditation &/ or pranayama.
Eva starting practicing yoga in 1993 and completed her 200h yoga teacher training with the School Of Sacred Arts in Bali in 2013 and has been teaching ever since. She is constantly learning and deepening her understanding of the profound system that is yoga. In 2018, she completed her RYT-500 with the TNYT School of Yoga, which included trainings in Yin yoga, embodied mindfulness & yoga therapeutics.
Her teachers include Kristen Boddington, Simon Borg-Olivier & Bianca Machliss of Yoga Synergy, Sarah Powers of Insight Yoga and Tina Nance of TNYT, to whom she is forever grateful for their knowledge, guidance and inspiration.

Spring Yin & Yang workshop - Wood element - 17th & 27 th October 2018 - Melting Pot Loft Yoga
This is a 2 part workshop, in which we explore the physical, emotional, mental & subtle aspects of the Wood element within ourselves, according to Taoist, Zen shiatsu & yogic principles. Our primary focus is on learning how to support & balance the health & functioning of its corresponding organs, namely the liver & the gallbladder.
During the Yin session, we target our connective tissue (AKA fascia) by practicing specific postures & holding them for a few minutes at a time with minimal muscle engagement. This allows for better flow of information & energy throughout the tissues. This practice also aims at developing better awareness of one's body, breath & attention by weaving in mindfulness techniques and taking the time to pause & drop into being rather than doing.
The Yang session is a more dynamic one, with a focus on tonification, detoxification & re-balancing of the body, with particular attention put on the liver & the gall bladder. Here the focus is more on getting things moving & riding the upward & invigorating energy of Spring!

I recently participated in the Elemental Yoga & Nature Connection Autumn Retreat and loved every minute of it. Tanya and Eva are the 'perfect' team, they encourage, support and nurture in such a mindful and empowering way. They 'hold space' perfectly! The combination of Yoga along with the Nature connection processes, which are so powerful, is a truly wonderful, nurturing and healing experience.
